10.05.2024: Nachdem ich die letzten beiden tage unglaublich viel angesehen und erlebt habe und bevor am Wochenende dann das Laternenfestival auf dem Programm steht, habe ich mir heute einen Tag frei vom Sightseeing genommen und bin "nur" durch die Stadt gelaufen und bin etwas shoppen gegangen.
Dabei habe ich erneut den Namdaemun Markt besucht, da er einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Der Namdaemun Markt ist der älteste der Märkte in Seoul und hat mehr als 10.000 Läden, die im Stadtviertel Namdaemun auf sehr begrenztem Raum zusammenliegen. Auf dem Weg dorthin gab es auch noch eine Straßenaufführung von Studenten der Musikhochschule, die ich am frühen Morgen sehr genossen habe.
Kulinarisch gesehen musste es heute auf dem Markt einen gefüllten "Pfannkuchen" den Hottoek geben, an dem ich nie vorbeikomme, einfach weil er so unglaublich lecker ist. DAs Rezept habe ich gefunden und am Ende des Textes angefügt. Es gehört zu den Dingen, die ich unbedingt selber ausprobieren muss! Als Ergänzung gab es auf dem Heimweg dann wieder frisches Gimbap, das ich in Deutschland sehr vermissen werde....
10.05.2024: After teo days with much visits, things to see and to learn I had on Fridax a day going a bit slower before on weekend the lantern festival will take place. So I "only" went on a stroll through the city for some shopping.
Again my way lead to Namdaemun Market because it is easily to discover on a stroll. Namdaemun market is the oldest and biggest markets in Seoul with over 10.000 littel shops in the limited space of Namdaemun district. On the way I found a public concerts of students of the highschool for music and performance, which I enjoyed very much in the morning.
Culinarily I had to have a stuffed griddle cake called Hottoek on Namdaemun market because It is so incredibly delicious. The recipe you´ll find at the end of this text and it is absolutely one of the recipes I HAVE to try to make at home on my own! Accompanied was it with another Gimbap on my way home in the afternoon. Gimbap is one of the dishes and things I will miss very much back in Germany....
